This is one of the best times to visit Manali as the weather is very pleasant and welcoming. Many of the Indian tourists visit during this time due to the summer holidays of schools and to escape the heat of the plains. This does however put a strain on the delicate mountain infrastructure and is avoidable if someone is seeking some quite and peace. The better time would be during Autumn when you have the same pleasant weather, the trekking routes open up (after summer) and one sees less of tourist buses.

Summer is the best time to enjoy the outdoor spirit of the region. There are plenty of things to do right from Skiing (yes in the summer!) to white water rafting to treks or simply shop around the mall looking for Tibetan handicrafts and enjoying the view while you stroll through the paths.

This is something like a continued summer where the weather is pleasant but getting a bit cold in the evenings. Much of the mountain snow has now melted and the passes which were closed during summers are now open. The famous lek Ladakh trip is only possible after July. This is the major trekking season right until it gets too cold to trek again. This is one of the best times to visit since the number of tourists would also deteriorate by now. The cherry and apple bloom dots the landscape and one can see beautiful pink and white flowering trees.

This is one of the absolute magnificent times to visit Manali. There are very few tourists who would venture there. There are beautiful snow falls and the entire valley is covered in blankets of snow that turns into a breath taking view. Spring is a new dawn in Manali. The main tourist season of summer is just around the corner. The bitter winter cold is just getting over. Many of the trees start to flower during this time. One can still manage good deals on the hotels during this time because the main season has not yet begun.
