Tourists during the holiday season are in an adventurous mood, so the hotels and restaurants offer a variety of delicacies ranging from south Indian snacks to Tibetan momos and north Indian food as well as some bakeries. You can also get a basic cheap meal no frills hot meals. Several cafes around the Mall also serve a continental breakfast of hot porridge, pancakes and toast with jam. This is a lovely eatery in the main market run by a gentleman who came to Manali from Bengal many years back and never went back. The Trout fish is very famous here. |

| Johnsons Café: |
This is fantastic restaurant joint half way amid Sagar Resort and the Mall. They have a lot of European cuisines, especially Italian like pizzas, pastas and mouth watering desserts. It is highly recommended that you visit this place at least once during your visit here. |

Sagar Resort, Manali has some wonderful restaurants to serve you. Bhaitak the Indian restaurant has finger licking Indian food which is mainly the specialty here. If you inform the kitchen in advance then some great desserts can be prepared as well. |

| Banon’s Lodge: |
The Banon’s lodge just next to Sagar Resort has a grand bar which is operational till wee hours of the morning. |

| Shiva Café (Old Manali): |
This is a must see during the journey of Manali. It is situated in the Old Manali village and is built in the style of the old ancient Manali home structures. The seating arrangements are on the floor. It is a great place to get the “munchies” after smoking a joint with the local “baba” and watching the sun go down on the mountain peaks. |

These are run by some settlers who came to the valley and never went back. They have delicious breads and pastries of some unusual flavors. One cannot afford to miss the chocolate brownies and apple pies. |
